CPHEs are typically shipped in steel or wooden crates that are lined with foam to provide extra cushioning. CPHEs are also wrapped in plastic to prevent moisture from entering the container. The crates are then sealed and marked with caution labels.
Prior to shipping, the CPHEs must be inspected for any signs of damage. If any damage is discovered, the crate must be opened and the CPHE must be examined for any further damage. If the CPHE is determined to be damaged, it cannot be shipped and must be replaced.
Once the CPHE has been inspected and determined to be undamaged, the crate must be sealed and marked with all necessary shipping information. The crate must then be loaded onto the proper transportation vehicle and shipped to its destination.
